You can cut and paste them into your paper. Make sure you select the MLA form of citation. Understand the central idea of what theexpert is saying. Note down the main points that theexpert is making to support his/hercentral idea. Develop abrief (100 word) summary of thewhole article. From the main points, identify and evaluate those points that are relevant for your position on the topic and summarize them. You should use paraphrasing, direct quotations, and summaries to integrate the evaluation of these points into your essay.ReviewParaphrase, Summary & Precis for guidelines for these note-taking skills. Note down how you think the points support yourargument.
