As a group, select a company in your city or town that is involved in importing and/or exporting, and interview the owner or a top manager. (Starbucks, coffee).

Your goal is to understand how government involvement in international business trade has helped or harmed the company’s business activities. Prepare for your appointment by researching the topic of government trade intervention in a business periodical (in print or online), and follow up the interview with additional research. Ask for past examples and specific potential impacts of government intervention on the business.

Concentrate on government involvement in trade for political, economic and/or cultural reasons (such as those found on pg. 156 in the text).
