Class, where do you stand on this issue of facebook? Is Facebook a news source for you? Do you trust what you see there? 100 words

Exercise is a great stress reliever, Rachel. I find that even a 10-minute walk will help me to clear my head. Of course, then I have to take the dog, and that in it can produce a whole different kind of stress! Although overall, pets and animals of any kind are also terrific stress relievers. I have a coffee cup that says "If all else fails, pet the dog." For me, that is good advice. Class, what works for you? Exercise? Pets? Being alone? I'd be interested to hear your strategies. 100 words

At the university level, we should be very aware of non-credible news sources and biased views.  According to Bassam, Irwin, Nardone, and Wallace (2013) "Critical thinking is the general term given to a wide range of cognitive skills and intellectual dispositions needed to effectively identify, analyze, and evaluate arguments and truth claims" (p. 1). You describe yourself as searching for the right combination of news sources in order to get some feeling of credibility and that is a good thing. You are actually trying to find varied perspectives on the issue that will lead you to the truth to enable problem-solving. How do multiple perspectives help you find truth? Class, would watching more than one news channel help you do this? 100 words
