For this assignment I need you do my questions but also read the readings and take important notes.

Read: FW (FieldWorking) - Ch.5 pg. 219-228 (stop @ Box 21) *page numbers are located in the upper left and righthand corners*

• Also, read Box 20, but you do NOT need to do the accompanying activity. Cultural Artifacts, though, may be a smart way of making your interview, and eventual Op-Ed piece, more interesting.

Submit an interview questions brainstorm (under Assignments) and print out a copy for class.

Create at least 20 questions. This is worth spending some time on, for the better your questions are, the better your interview will be, and the more you'll have to write about.

• Remember, your peer is a Cultural Informant, so while you are certainly aiming to get a general idea of who they are, your main objective is to understand their culture, but via your lens.
  • I will connect you to your peer via email. Full disclosure, in my excitement to announce your randomized peer groups, I forgot to save the initial draw. Therefore, your peer may change from what we went over in class. Apologies for any confusion.
• Read Zadie Smith's interview. Take notes in your composition notebook as we might have a pop quiz in class.
