You are the manager of a sport-related business. On a quarterly basis, you conduct evaluations of your employees. This quarter, you will evaluate a member of your class. Select a person in your sport management class to be your employee. For this Assignment you will use the 60 Minute Commercial Videos submitted last week. The person I chose wants to be an animal doctor

she is also a high school student

says she hard working, and AP classes as well

her greatest strengths is being very caring, responsible, and determined

In your hypothetical role as that person’s supervisor, describe the person’s attitude toward the following: Their own self  Their role as a student (job) and their etiquette.  You will do this by writing a paragraph or two in which you analyze the person as if you were doing a true evaluation of an employee.  You will analyze whether they adequately gave you good background information and how you measured this, you will analyze their perceived energy level from the video and how you measured this, you will analyze their nonverbal actions and what those actions indicate to you.  Make sure you answer the following questions in your analysis (use the information from the chapter and notes to think as a true hiring manager):

  1. What cues did you use to make your judgments?
  2. If this person were your employee, how would you deal with their attitudes? (This question applies whether you have judged the various attitudes as good or bad.)
  3. If someone in the room chose you as an employee, what do you think the person would say about your attitudes toward yourself, your role as a student, and etiquette?
  4. On what cues might the person have made these judgments?
