• Describe one of the responsibilities of a probation or parole officer.
  • Explain one significant historical event in the evolution of probation or parole in America.
  • Provide an overview of the presentence investigation report.
• Describe two intermediate punishments available for offenders.
• Select at least one of the types of special offenders and explain strategies for that particular type of offender.
