For this discussion, read the following Digital History chapter on John D. Rockefeller in Cleveland, assess questions 1-3 in the reading and discuss how the reading relates to historian Richard Whites' essay in Major Problems (p.79) on corruption in the the railroads in the nineteenth century. See the link to the Digital History chapter reading below and chapter 3 in the fourth edition of Major Problems in American History.
