Advancements in technology and the effects of technological change inevitably produces changes in social and cultural constructs. These effects are rarely equal or equitable. Reflecting upon your life, how has technology effected you? Have the effects been equal or equitable? Have you or someone you know been displaced? Has the effects of technological change created additional social and cultural tensions? Has resistance to technological advancement created tensions or adversity?  

Think about these questions, reflect upon your experience and the readings in Chapter two, and begin your journal. You should create a Word or Google Docs file for this use. Over the course of the semester, you will continue to add additional reflections and entries as we progress through the chapters and additional reading items.
