General Motors is mostly known as a car manufacturing company that sells cars, trucks and SUV's. Their mission is to lead the way in automotive technology and to build customers for life. They want to continue to make changes to help the environment, like all electric vehicles. General Motors is headquartered in Detroit, Michigan and they are a global company serving 5 continents.

General Motors produces cars, trucks and SUV's as well as producing electric cars. They also distribute those vehicles and vehicle parts as well as selling financial services. General motors serves a global market.

Being mainly in the automotive industry, General Motors has good times and bad times with their financial status. They were a part of the Government bailout several years ago. General Motors has had new innovations to technology from air bags to electric cars.

My impression of the company's culture is a good one. The corporate logo is simple and easily identifiable and well known. While looking on their career site, they seem to have trainings and mentorship programs for their employees. I believe during these trainings and mentorships with veteran employees, new employees learn the culture of General Motors.

My grandfather worked for General Motors his whole life and retired from there. I have a positive view of General Motors because they took care of him while he was there and even after he retired. He loved working there.
