  2. This is the Medicare website for Local Coverage Determinations (LCD) by state index.
  3. Choose your state, Check off "ALL LCDs", and Click 'Submit'
  4. Scroll down and choose one of the documents showing below:
  5. You can choose a Medicare Parts A & B Carrier; Medicare Parts A & B Fiscal Intermediary (FI); Home Health/Hospice; or a DME Provider
  6. Click on one of the companies listed.
  7. Scroll down and look at the LCDs listed. Choose one (not necessarily the first one. We want a variety of posts).
  8. Click on the Title of one of the LCDs listed.
  9. Scroll down and ACCEPT the legal part.
  10. Read through the information shared in the LCD and summarize the kind of information there (ie. licensed professional approved to provide, restrictive details, etc.)
  11. At the bottom, there is usually specific coding information.Share the codes (or a short selection if the list is long), the types of codes.
  12. Lastly, include your opinion of the value of this information to you, as a professional coding specialist.
