Hello, I am looking for someone to write an article on Social Corporate Responsibility of Oil and Gas Industry. It needs to be at least 1250 words. Corporate social responsibility in the Niger Delta area helps in the proper administration of the oil reserves available in the area. The responsibility of the management of the area involves all the relevant stakeholders since it ensures that there is the equitable sharing of oil resources in the region.

Despite passable corporate social responsibility efforts, high levels of poverty were experienced in the region. Poverty led to a shortage of basic amenities like food and water. Additionally, the conflicts caused by the oil industry led to low employment levels, which compromised the living standards of the Niger Delta inhabitants. Pollution caused by the oil industry was attributable to the laxity of the government in the prosecution of the industry for the breach of human rights (Murdock, 2014). The Niger Delta area was highly populated because of the exploration of oil fields in the area. The industry caused the challenge of overpopulation in this area. Additionally, the place is abundant of oil deposits, and so, the aspect of exploration of oil from the oil fields by the international corporation is also a cause of unrest in the region.

Additionally, administrative structures of the government in Nigeria never worked in favor of the Niger Delta (Powell, 2014). The region was associated with many problems, which led to poverty. The social deprivation experienced in the region compromised the inhabitant’s ability to interact with the affluent in order to share in the natural resources available in the region. The unemployment aspect also caused poverty for the residents of the Niger Delta. Unemployment emanated from the fact that the multinational corporations, which carried out oil explorations did not offer the residents the jobs available. Consequently, the poverty rates considerably increase in the region, especially because of the limitation of access to the oil fields.&nbsp.
