Hello, I am looking for someone to write an article on The function of Government in America with a focus on a single law of students' choosing. It needs to be at least 1000 words. Many activists have critised the government mainly various police department on their handling of blacks The War on Drugs in this aspect is but a convenient, yet not accurate, metaphor. Instead the War on Drugs has be understood as a unique case of what war has continually been the employment of violence and force in certain societies, and/or their institutions, in order to attain certain political objectives according to civil right activists (Nelson, 133). Race has always played an essential role over the years in isolating the group that became the targets of the drug war, subsequently exposing their institutions and cultural practices to military-style attack and police control and violence. Despite the drug war has indeed sought to lessen controlled substances and destroy the links established for drug distribution, this has always been part of the story. In fact, the United States efforts to control drugs substances are also been a way for dominant communities to express racial power.

African Americans, for instance, have long had to suffer police harassment and humiliation for their rights. Furthermore,, various crime happening in various states has made the kind of police harassment described above and other criminal activities more probable to occur. One of the key consequences of the anti-criminal policies is that courts of late have relaxed their oversight of the police departments. In a series of decisions written after the declaration of various anti-criminal policies for example war on drugs, the Supreme Court hence has made it easier for the police to find grounds to stop and detain pedestrians and motorists on the street. In particular, two recent choices have made it virtually impossible for African Americans to walk freely on the streets in some states in United States without police intervention and harassment (Holmes, 68).
