According to Jung, Mary’s treatment will involve four stages of analytic psychotherapy, which include confession, education, elucidation, and transformation. The first stage is a confession, and it entails sharing secrets and revealing inhibited emotions. The second stage is elucidation, and it involves analyzing dreams of the client, and the therapist interpreting and explaining what they mean to the client. The third stage is education, which entails assisting the client to create new and adaptive habits.
