Thus, it can be easily seen that media and agenda-setting process are deeply connected. However, the rule of authority in this couple remains unclear. In context of media influence, it is interesting that opposition usually rely on negative news. so, media turns into the “promulgator for the positive feedback process” (Eissler, Russell, and Jones 578). In addition, the point that different mediums of media have different effects on agenda-setting is also crucial (Eissler, Russell, and Jones 579-580). In general, the presented research demonstrates the complicity of the connection between media and politics due to the unequal impact of different aspects of media. However, media can be determined as a gatekeeper between elite and public which is not always easily recognized. So, the presented research provides a good general overview but lacks concretization.
