However, some people think that there is no need to be against teenage pregnancy because teenagers are independent in the society, and they can make decisions for themselves. They further think that teenagers can give birth to children and leave these children to their parents who can take better care of them on their behalf. As a matter of fact, teenage pregnancy is a serious and alarming issue in the society. The lack of ability to raise children and consequent abortion hurts teenagers physically and mentally.

Teenage pregnancy is referred to girls getting pregnant at their tender age. that is between fifteen to nineteen years of age. At this tender age, teenagers still need to be taken care of, because they are not financially independent and need guidance from their parents. Now days, as society is advancing, parents are expecting their children to have higher and better education. Therefore, pregnancy at this age range is an obstacle to their life and future. At this age range, teenagers are supposed to study and prepare themselves to become responsible parents in the future. They require no distraction such as giving birth and thinking about raising children. On the other hand, if teenagers get pregnant and are not ready or in a position to nurture the pregnancy they undergo through much pressure and stress that may result to abortion or miscarriage.

In communities that are against teenage pregnancy, pregnant teenagers undergo many predicaments and challenges that are difficult to withstand. They face resistance from members of such community.
