The use of websites such as Chegg or Course Hero are prohibited.  Questions that are submitted to, or answers that are obtained from, online sources will result in a failing grade.  Your  notes should be the only resources needed to complete assignments.

• Homework assignments will remain open for 24 hours after the deadline listed and you may upload your homework up until that time. Assignments submitted later than 24 hours will receive no credit.

Please read the Formation of Contracts - Offer and Acceptance Notes  prior to completing the assigned questions. Please complete all homework below using the IRAC Method (review the example posted in the Week One Module for IRAC format).  Submit the answer only; do not include the homework questions. 

In order to submit homework please create a Microsoft Word or Text file only.  When you have completed your homework, log into the course page and go to the assignment link in order to upload your file for submission (please note that you may have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to find the "upload" button).

Best Buy included a circular in the Sunday newspapers advertising an 85" Sony Class X85J LED 4K Smart TV for $2,500.  The original price of the TV was $3,200.  Samuel saw the advertisement and went down to the store on Sunday when it opened.  He immediately went to the electronics department to purchase one of the TVs, but they were sold out.  Samuel asked to speak with the manager, and he told him that he was there to accept the store's offer and because they did not make a TV available for him, he intended to sue Best Buy.  What is the outcome of the lawsuit?

Michael sent Amy an offer to purchase Amy’s 2016 Honda motorcycle for $13,000 through the United States Postal Service and indicated they would finalize the deal on Friday.  Amy received the offer on Monday, and she immediately mailed Michael a letter indicating that she was accepting Michael’s offer.  On Friday morning, Michael changed his mind and left Amy a voicemail message telling Amy that he was revoking the offer.  Amy arrived at Michael's house on Friday with the motorcycle and Michael refused to pay Amy.  Michael claimed that he had left a message revoking the offer.  Amy intends to file a lawsuit.   What is the outcome?

Meredith hired Victor’s real estate agency to sell her home for $459,000.  Lynda contacted the Victor and made an offer on the home for $430,000.  When Victor presented Lynda's offer to Meredith, Meredith changed the price on Lynda's offer to $445,000 and signed her acceptance.  Several days later Victor contacted Lynda to tell her that her offer had been accepted and that Victor was sending her a copy of the contract by fax.  Lynda received the fax with the new amount and called Victor to tell him she was refusing to follow through with the contract.  Victor indicated that Meredith intended to sue Lynda to for violating the contract.  What is the outcome of the lawsuit?
