Hey there! Problem 9(B) Two dice are rolled.
Hey there! Just need help with one homework problem:Problem 9(B) Two dice are rolled.
A = ‘sum of two dice equals 3’
B = ‘sum of two dice equals 7’
C = ‘at least one of the dice shows a 1’
(a) What is P(A|C)?
(b) What is P(B|C)?So far my thinking is that since we are dealing with 2 dice, the total probability would be out of 36. to have the sum of 2 dice equal 3, we know that rolling a 1 and a 2 would equate to 3. Therefore P(A|C) would be 2/36. Am I on the right track?
