Consumption of cocaine directly affects the brains functional system leading to loss of consciousness even at worse circumstances. The lack of social contact in cocaine users results in more consumption by them. Consumption of huge amount of cocaine also results in lack of concentration. Lack of concentration can affect the life of a person in several ways. First of all a person can become ignorant towards his job. Secondly, a person can start ignoring people and his problems, which can be disastrous for him in future. As proposed by Quednow and preller, these brain functions can explain why cocaine users often fail to stop consumption of drugs even after severe social consequences. This assignment will analyze the important facts of consumption of cocaine along with explanations why people find it difficult to quit.
Cocaine is an illegal and addictive stimulant that is obtained from the leaves of Erythroxylon cocoa plant. This plant is mostly found in South America. This shows that people from a very low age turn towards drugs and suffer from physical and mental complexities. According to a recent investigation, it was recorded that cocaine
