While doing so they come heavily against any attempts by the East or the West to define their life and sexuality. These women certainly exhibit a deep and valid insight into the body politics inherent in the cultural symbols like veil. Hence they simply do not afford to leave the interpretation of these symbols to the radical elements within their own civilization or to the Western feminist scholars and activists.

Hence this video not only marks a feminist reaction to the organized religion but is also an apt expression of the desire of the modern Arab women residing in the West to chalk out a feminist theology of their own.
