The other parenting style is authoritative parenting style. In this parenting style, the parent is also demanding of the child but at the same time, he or she is responsive to their needs. These type of parents take the time to understand their children's problems and helps them solve them They explain to the reason for rules being there and how to attain independence and maturity by following those rules. Due to their understanding nature with their children, the children are free to share and interact with them and they grow up making their own decisions and reasoning on their own without any pressure (Cook-Darzens and Brunod, 1999).Explain two types of attachment you might expect based on each parenting style you selected.Children brought up under the authoritative parenting style usually have secure attachment. This is because they have developed trust with their parents and other adults too and also their peers. They know how to be independent and are also mature. They rely on their parents and depend on them more because they are used to having them listen and explain issues to them in a loving way with no strictness whatsoever. Due to their secure nature, they have high self-esteem and are obedient, basically the model child every parent would love to have.Those children brought up under the authoritarian parental style usually tend to have the avoidant and insecure attachment.
