Hi, I need help with essay on The Role of International and Global Laws in Todays Society. Paper must be at least 6750 words. Please, no plagiarized work!

The usage of certain drugs such as marijuana in certain countries and states may be legal, while outlawed in others.

This research paper will examine the importance of having global laws and international bodies that oversee the maintenance of these laws. It will also investigate the benefits of having such laws in place, whom they benefit and whether it is justifiable to have them in place and in force.

The world is now a global village as a result of scientific and technological advancements. Indeed, an occurrence in one region of the world can seriously affect the rest of the world. Hence, countries must strive to keep good relationships with others since no State can afford to lead an isolated life in the contemporary world. Global law regulates relations between countries as noted by Biersteker (2003). It offers the foundation for peace and stability with the goal of protecting and ensuring the dignity of humanity.

As a result of globalization, there has been a significant increase in international law and the complexity of global legal issues. This calls for States to ensure that their international relations are governed by rule of law and not by force (Williams, 2009). In view of this, countries and States are encouraged to take an active rather than a passive role in matters concerning international law.

Globalization law encompasses a number of areas such as prevention of the use of force whereby states/countries are required to solve their problems amicably. International law also deals with the protection of basic human rights. The law stipulates that each person can demand specific basic rights such as the right to life, freedom of conscience as well as freedom from physical harm among other rights. International law tackles issues such as the protection of persons at the time wars or armed conflicts as highlighted by Gabriella (2001).&nbsp.
