Hi, need to submit a 16000 words paper on the topic Analysing Leadership Styles Adopted by PDO. Petroleum Development of Oman (PDO), the leading oil production company in Oman, is a major contributor to the country’s economy. However, recently, PDO has been experiencing a decline in oil production. As PDO moves towards a more challenging future, it is the leader’s responsibility to construct a clear company vision. This leader must strive to continue shaping the company’s vision into reality and continue leading the company towards prosperity. This will likewise contribute to the nation’s own progress. In order to do this, the leaders of the Petroleum Development of Oman have to adopt appropriate leadership styles and behaviors not only to maintain the current production level but also to meet future challenges.

The results from the data analysis determined the leadership styles adopted in the company. In general, PDO’s leaders’ behaviors were considered positive, as perceived by employees. However, there were areas that needed improvement and development especially in the field of individual consideration and leadership effectiveness. The research revealed that the company’s opportunities for women towards progress in the organization are adequate. However, the research also discovered that balancing work and family life continues to pose a challenge to women’s career advancement. Subsequently, based on both primary and secondary types of research conducted, new emerging issues were analyzed and specific areas of development for improving leadership structure in the organization were suggested in this dissertation.
