The study focuses on how conventional and Islamic institutions are operated and the main differences and similarities between the two financial institutions.

In a capitalist nation like Unite States individuals pursue personal goals as opposed to broader economic goals (HBO, 2011). The role of the state in such a situation is to make policies that will protect citizens and their property, creating an enabling environment for investors to pursue their interests. Since economic growth is affected by the roles of capitalists the government cannot ignore the performance of private businesses completely because poor performance of the private businesses will affect the implementation of government policies (Ferguson, 2008).
