The academic years are extremely important in the life of an individual. This is because they determine our future and the position that we will be in after many years. People have to face many different challenges during their years of education. My years of education in high school were also not very easy and I had to face many challenges during this period.

My family was in a difficult period during my high school years. I was one of the supporting members of my family. This placed many responsibilities on my shoulder. I had to cope up with my education and at the same time I also had to work. This divided my concentration and I could not achieve good grades in my high school. These were my years of struggle and I used to ponder that why could I not be as carefree as my colleagues and concentrate only on my studies. With time, I came to realize that everyone has their share of struggles and hardships.

When I reached college, I developed an optimistic attitude and promised myself that I would adopt good time management skills and work harder so that I would be able to do better academically. I put in all my efforts and I succeeded in achieving a higher GPA in my college. I learnt an important lesson that I will always remember.
