Supervisory Competencies

1. The authors in the text discuss four essential supervisory competencies.
2. Read the material and answer the questions in your own words.  Do not copy material directly from the textbook.
3. Give a brief description of each one of these competencies (technical, interpersonal, conceptual and political). 
4. Describe how these competencies will change at different managerial levels (Supervisory, Middle and Top). 
5. This assignment should follow these requirements: Length – One Page; Times New Roman font, 12 pt.; Double Space (even between paragraphs); 1” margin on all sides.

1.     The authors in the text discuss four basic management functions of a supervisor’s job.
2.      Read the material and answer the questions in your own words.  Do not copy material directly from the textbook.
3.    Give a brief description of each one of these functions (planning, organizing, leading and controlling).
4.    Describe how these functions will change at different managerial levels (Supervisory, Middle and Top).
5.    Explain your current strengths in each of these four areas.
