QUESTION

How are centromeres and chromatids related?

Centromers are what hold the sister chromatids together. The chromatids are only visible when the cell is splitting. This happens in mitosis as well as meiosis. Spindle fibers can also attach to the centromere and they do during meiosis and mitosis.
