How can i show that if c1,c2,....cn are distinct characteristic values of T with corresponding characteristic vectors v1,v2,...,vn then v1,v2,...,vn , then v1,v2,...,vn then v1,v2,...,vn are linearly independent.
Note that if c1 is an eigenvalue of T then T(v1)= c1v1.
