The type of employee is set under a combo-box which I want to display additional information to be filled by each type of employee. An employee could be a lecturer in which case an additional panel is provided to input data for the department name and whether permanent or not. In case of a student, the additional fields are campus name, programme name and year of study and in the case of support staff the additional fields are support area and whether they are unionised or not. This information should be linked to a database. Finally, how do I include a status bar, which will contain error messages. Hint: Add this status bar as a simple Label. ??
