How do I interpret this poem? My own interpretation is that he wants to leave something that is causing him pain. Its a vague interpretation so I need help.

Who is he talking to?

Since God called his name, is he talking to God?

Maybe thats why he mentioned "thorn" and "wine."

Or maybe he was talking to Satan and God was trying to call him to side with him?

What is the speaker saying about life?
