metals bond among their atoms not with other metals.

we know that every element is made up of atoms of similar . the bond among the atoms of element is called metallic bond . metals do not form bond with other metals because every metal have tendency to lose electron then how one metal pick the other metal electron. Ionic bond is formed between the metals and non metals because both have tendency to lose and gain of electron.covalent bond bond is formed between the non metals because non metals can not transfer but shair to become stable. metaloid form covalent bond among metals ,non metals and other metloid. because it has both tendency.
