QUESTION

How do you find square root of 300?

The answer to this question would still have a radical, it would be 10 ##sqrt3## That is the best way to put it into simplest forms.

300 is not a perfect square as we know it, so the best that we could do is break it into two separate factors, one perfect square and one that is not.

We take into consideration that 100 x 3= 300

so we can rewrite the statement as ##sqrt100*sqrt3##

But since we know that 100 is a perfect square we can bring it out, thus leaving us with the simplified form of 10 ##sqrt3##

Which would equal the original value.
