All of the essential elements required for life are created in stars.

Three of the most essential elements required for life are Carbon, Nitrogen and Oxygen. These are all produced in large stars.

Life on Earth only exists because the material which was made from had significants amounts of the essential elements for life. All of these elements came from the deaths of large stars.
