• And , when two hybrid orbitals are linearly overlapped the result is a sigma bond.

• So in C_2H_2 ,there is a triple bond between 02 carbon atoms ,one is a sigma bond and others are pi  bonds.

• And there is two other , which are formed with hydrogen. Formation of sigma bond in that triple bond is a result of linear overlapping of two sp hybrid orbitals.
