To be a successful I think all five traits listed in the text will help achieve that goal. Cognitive ability is a very important trait to have for being effective in management since creativity is used often. Leaders must learn to work with the staff individually and, everyone has a unique way of thinking when it comes to completing work. Finding new ways to keep work interesting and fun is not always easy, but it will help with keeping a positive morale within the work place. Sometimes impulse decision making will occur, and the manager must be cognitive to ensure the decision will have a positive effect. The next trait for being an effective leader is personality. Leaders need to have a positive mix of different personalities due to the heavy amount of responsibilities that are carried out daily. Being able to be modest and not arrogant towards the staff is able to gain trust, respect, a build a strong relationship. "Righteous lips are the delight of a King, and he loves him who speaks what is right" (Proverbs 16:13). If a leader is not motivated to focus and finish the responsibilities, then the staff will not be motivated. When a leader is motivated, they are learning, growing, and improving. Proverbs 16:16 says "How much better to get wisdom than gold. To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver." Social appraisal also goes with being a peacemaker. Recognizing the feelings and behaviors of others and responding positive is a very important trait. The last trait and the most important trait is problem solving. Not only does the leader identify the situation, they also learn from it and apply what has been learned for future reference. "The intelligent man is always open to ideas, in fact, he looks for them" (Proverbs 18:15).
