Prior to beginning work on this assignment, please read Chapter 3 and Chapter 12 in the textbook. In this assignment you will compare and contrast current policies that address a particular social inequality in the United States to policies that address this same social inequality in other countries (at least two countries required).

Include the following in your assessment:

• Compare the vital demographics of each nation (population, race, gender, average age, average income, average living at or below poverty, access to healthcare, etc.).
• Compare the policies that are currently in place to address the issue in the United States versus other countries.
  • Provide a detailed summary of each policy identified.
  • Use scholarly and government research to support your discussion.
• Describe how successful these policies in the US have been in reducing the social inequality compared to the policies in the other countries.
  • Use scholarly research to support your discussion.
• Summarize the limitations of current policies in the US directed at your chosen inequality versus the other countries you have chosen.
  • Use scholarly research to support your discussion.
  • Propose three changes to the current policies you summarized above or suggest three new policies aimed at reducing this social inequality.
  • Make certain to justify the changes or new policies you proposed by providing a detailed reason for each change or new policy.
  • Use scholarly research to support your explanations.
