I am having difficulty formulating my hypotheses- my instructor states it is not specific enough. My feedback also stated I did not justify the T test enough. I am at a loss! Any help would be appreciated!
What is your null hypothesis?
Ho: Gender does not significantly affect the length of stay for a patient in the hospital with the diagnosis of a MI
What is your alternative hypothesis?
Ha: Gender does significantly affect the length of stay for a patient in the hospital with the diagnosis of MI
How will your technique(s)/test(s) help you answer your question of interest? This should include the basic purpose of the chosen test/technique.
Th analysis technique Two-Sample t-test will help to determine if gender is a significant effect on the length of stay on hospital patients with a MI diagnosis. This test will help to measure the probability of both hypotheses. The t-sample will help to achieve a closer look at if gender is important by showing a "P" and "T" value that will be used to determine the mean. After the mean is calculated I will be able to compare the data and compare it to the null hypothesis.
