I am sure this is about as basic a question as there is, but I have struggled with converting net income to net cash under the indirect method,

I am sure this is about as basic a question as there is, but I have struggled with converting net income to net cash under the indirect method, basically I am getting converting gains and losses backwards as far as increasing or decreasing net income.
