I have solved the problem below a few times and the answer is 10.  However, when I try to show my work I sometimes get the answer 1, but if I use a calculator the answer is 10.  I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong.  This is for "Introduction to Astronomy-ASTR 100"

Using scientific notation, numerically evaluate the expression below.  Show all of your steps.

[ 10^5 x (10^2)^3 ] / [ 100 x 10^4 x (10^8)^(1/2) ]

Answer: 10
