I have the same question. There is no answer posted, or I have not been able to find where it has. Please help.

I'm having trouble with this Rat Freeze problem.

  1. Before you do any analysis, state the two types of process problems a supplier might have. I'm talking about suppliers in general so don't answer in terms of this case. Do not determine if either problem actually exists. I only want you to say what two sorts of problem could possibly exist. If you have trouble answering this question just look at the tests in chapter 10 and ask yourself what each one is for. The tests are summarized in Table 10.6 on pages 442 and 443. Again, the tests in Table 10.6 all come down to just two general types of process problems.  Put the label "1" in front of the answer you write.  Another hint: chapter 10 was about 3 things...2 of them are the problems that a supplier might have.
  2. For each type of possible process problems you identified in your answer to question one, do some analysis (you decide what to do) using one or both of the 2 databases to see if the problem really does exist. Reread my descriptions of the databases so you'll know which one(s) to use for the calculation(s) you do.

Write one paragraph for each of the two types of process problem, say what data and analysis you used to see if it really exists, and say what your conclusion is.  Label the first paragraph "2A" and the second one "2B"

  1. In answering question 2, did you confirm any test result by doing a run test? If yes, why? If no, why not?  Label the answer to this question "3".

Again, this case is to be submitted in a Word file attached to an email with "Rat Freeze" on the subject line. The email must be sent before the start of class on the dates mentioned above.

And also again, make sure your answers are in the order in which the questions are askedand label your answers so I can easily find them. If your answers are out of order or hard to find, you will lose points.
