Therefore, forbidden things and set apart are believed to unite the people into a single moral community. The learners may tend to give definitions according to their personal beliefs. Through discussion, the class can have an inclusive definition that covers polytheistic, monotheistic and nontheistic religions.
Secondly, I will outline the names of the nine religions in the world. They include Islam, Christianity, Hinduism, Judaism, Shintoism, Buddhism, Taoism, Sikhism and Baha’i. I will ask the students if the names are familiar and use their journals or charts to show what they know concerning the various religious traditions. Then administer questions to assess prior knowledge. For example, a question that involves placing the nine religions in order of the number of adherents worldwide.
Lastly, I will introduce the main topic, which is the Christianity Christmas celebration and ask the students to describe it.
