I need help creating a thesis and an outline on Soccer: History and Tactics. Prepare this assignment according to the guidelines found in the APA Style Guide. An abstract is required. The historic perspective of soccer will be analyzed and finally its advantages and disadvantages.

Soccer was estimated to have been played more than three thousand years ago. In China, around the late 2nd and early 3rd centuries BC in the Hans dynasty, people used to play leather balls fitted inside with feathers. The players were supposed to kick the ball into small nets. In Roman and Greek, people used to play football for fun during their free time (Orejan, 2011). This was also their way of uniting and brings people together. Japan is also associated with early soccer games. In Japan, leisure activities were well-practiced by kicking the ball. People got used to this form of play that they used to practice every time they were free. However, this old kind of football was crude and never had any kind of rules to be followed.

Britain is credited to be the mother of modern soccer. This is traced way back during the medieval times where soccer had no rules and allowed all forms of illness and barbaric practices like gouging, kicking, biting and punching of other players. The game was played with every part of the body, even carrying it with one’s hands. Every team had its target place where they were supposed to take the ball. This game became so attractive that every person wanted to play or watch another play. For example, the military started playing football as one of their physical practice activities and watching during their meal breaks (Goldblatt, 2006). This, however, led to King Edward the 3rd of England banning the game in 1365. He found the game too violent and also due to military indulgence. Additionally, in Scotland, King Edward 1 banned the game because it had taken over every activity of the nation and also too violent to be played. The game was therefore not played for some years.

Modern soccer development began in 1815 in England where the game was introduced in schools, colleges.
