Past confronts the future: old and new methods for education

      With today advanced technology and easy access for getting information, it is important to find ways to engage students and speak their language so they can be part of the education community. Two images on the Broward college website show students learning in different settings. one shows student sitting in a close classroom and learning in a more anemic and grey environment, the second shows student sitting on alternate chairs in an open space and learning in a more active and energized environment. In my opinion, the conventional way of education is less relevant today than the modern approach, and by engaging students in a more creative and dynamic learning experience we will see more students participating in classes and having better grades.
