I need some assistance with these assignment. the tragical history of the life and death of doctor faustus play by christopher marlowe ( reading response (entire play)) Thank you in advance for the help! Despite having enjoyed Aristotle’s logic, nothing appeared to gratify him, all what this brought to him is the ability to dispute efficiently. He acquired the skills of disputing. He enjoyed Galen and made his mark in medicine field. He had principle that Justinian was worthless, and had no delight in theology. He got persuasion from the good angels to stop indulging himself with necromancy while the bad angels encouraged him to join. He contemplated all the understanding, power as well as riches necromancy would bring to his life and he became the expert in the magical arts, through the help of devil Mephistopheles. He had come to secure the soul of Faustus. He explained that devil himself was an angel but due to his pride, he was cast down together with his followers. At this time, Mephistopheles was still in anguish of pangs in hell because wherever he went hell followed him. Faustus agreed to give his soul if only Mephistopheles serves him for twenty four years, and this message was taken to Lucifer (Marlowe, pg 1).

There was intervention of bad and good angel both pulling Faustus in diverse directions, where the evil angel wins his spirit. Mephistopheles got Lucifer’s consent where Faustus had to write a document using his own blood from his arm. As he was writing, his blood became solid and by use of hot coals, Mephistopheles warms it and he finished writing the document. After completing, doctor Faustus contemplated that he has seen some threatening Latin writing on his arm, but Mephistopheles distracted him by summoning dancing evils which gave him diadem and stunning attire.

Doctor Faustus requested for a wife, but he was not pleased by the devil in form of a woman brought to him. He received a book to provide him with what he requires such as gold, a whirlwind, and warriors in armour or tempest. He could also see all the planets of heavens and their movement as well and plants on earth.
