PART I

• Using the list of transitions in Week 8’s SCOOP attached here,create two paragraphs of your own writing (each one containing at least three sentences apiece) about anything you wish.

• Use at least one transition in each sentence. Find my list of transitions from Week 8 SCOOP.

• Be sure to write using complete sentences AND run spell check before you submit your work.

• When you write your paragraphs, use transitions to help your classmates identify these three (3) parts of both of your paragraphs, such as First or To start (topic sentences), Also or In addition (supporting sentences), and In sum or In closing (closing sentences) and so many others listed in my attached SCOOP.

Below are the three types of sentences you should have in both paragraphs:

1. Topic sentence

2. Supporting sentence(s)

3. Closing sentence

Remember, though, not to give your classmates the answers as to which sentences are your topic, supporting, or closing sentences.
