Drs Reg Revans and Michael Marquardt are great public and even motivational speakers. I found drawn in to both while watching their videos on YouTube. Dr. Marquardt seemed to hold my attention a little better and kept me focused just a little bit more. His ability to draw in the audience or get ‘buy-in’ seems a little but greater. When I was teaching Motorcycle Safety Foundation courses, I was told about a concept called Adult Centered Learning; ever since then I have tried to hone my abilities of adult learning. I couldn’t help but think back to that as there are a few similarities between the two concepts. That in itself was enough to keep my attention focused during the hour plus video.
With all that said I can also say I was intrigued by the little math problem that Dr. Revans graphed and discussed. L = f(P,Q) learning is a function of both programmed knowledge (already learned) and directive questioning. This type of thing also keeps my interest and helps me visualize the content and intent of his seminar.
