Action Learning

Timothy

After watching a couple of videos by both Dr. Marquardt and Reg Revans, I got a pretty good understanding on what exactly action learning is.  To simply put it, it is learning processes or new things by the act of doing such things.  The concept is that as one is actually doing something, they are better learning how to do it.  For me, I think that Reg Revans was better at explaining the concept and seems more authoritative, whereas Marquardt seemed to be going off into too many examples where I found myself getting lost. Even after watching only a couple minutes or Revans explanation of action learning, I better understood than when I watched Dr. Marquardt video.  Revans laid out the information cut and dry, and for me it was easier to understand that way, though his voice can be a little monotone, I found his videos more helpful to my understanding of action learning and I was actually interested in listening to them as well.  My recommendation to my class mates would be to watch some of Reg Revans videos, but of course everyone has different views and might like the way that Marquardt speaks instead.  Having different resources is always good though.
