I was wondering why Anne Moody wrote the book Coming Of Age in Mississippi. I know that part of it was to raise awareness about the Civil Rights Movement, and segregation & unfair treatment of blacks by whites, and even by lighter-skinned blacks. But I feel like there is more of an underlying reason at the same time as to why she wrote it.
