The Internet Relay Chat supports cultural practice as is evident from the questionnaire results. This is because it allows for collaboration between team members in an organization and also to customers, suppliers and partners who are in the chat site. The chat site requires a person to have a profile which contains information about the individual and hence easy to know what the area of expertise the individual is in and this is important for an organization.

When it comes to the economic dimension of the Internet Relay Chat, it reduces the time spent searching for information. This is because the information is present in people’s profiles and also it is easier to ask the chat friends to find the information you need. This technology reduces efforts of working together where you have to organize meetings and spend a lot of time arguing and in conflict resolution, hence the amount of time spent working on tasks is reduced.

In the political dimensions, the technology helps reach relevant people needed for achievement of the performance goals.
