During his time as a ruler, he always emerged the victor and he remained undefeated in battle during his reign. Today, he is considered one of the most successful rulers to make a difference. He is considered one of the most successful individuals to serve as a commander in his army. Alexander took to being a ruler after his father, Phillip 2 of Macedon. His father was assassinated and Alexander followed in the footsteps of his father, becoming a king himself (Romm, 96).

As a king, he did not misuse his position, but instead became determined to make his father’s legacy prolong, and keep the culture. His father transformed a weak Macedonia into a country with great military power, and this is what made the state become successful in its battles.
