This infographic measures your mastery of ULOs 1.2, 4.2, and 5.1.
Creating, building, and sustaining a team is central to the role and task of a leader. Assume you are newly appointed manager of a department combining the Marketing and Advertising departments into the newly formed Marketing division. This new division will have 80 employees: 40 each from Marketing and Advertising, respectively. In this division, it has long been known that employees from both departments do not particularly get along. You decide to use this as an opportunity to train your assistant manager on how to build relationships.
Create a one-page infographic that will help the assistant manager connect these two groups. Apply and explain a leadership style where strengthening others is a goal, explore how to build and sustain relationships, and examine how leaders impact organizational performance.
Infographics are intended to rely on visuals, so limit the information/words on your one-page document. Be creative when designing your visual, but ensure it is still well organized and readable. Keep text succinct and use images that will not distract from the message.
There are many free resources that can help you create your infographic. Adobe Express, Canva, Miro, and even PowerPoint all offer infographic templates you can customize.
Once you have developed your visual, save it as an image and insert it into a Word document. All sources used to develop your infographic should have in-text citations; references should be properly formatted in APA style on a separate page. You must use at least one source to support your infographic. Upload the infographic and reference page as a single document in Blackboard for grading.
Your infographic should represent your original work.
